The project
The new high-speed/high-capacity railway line Brescia East – Verona extends for about 48 km, crossing 2 regions, 3 provinces and 11 towns, mostly in parallel with the existing infrastructures in the territory, starting its route in Mazzano (Brescia), until it reaches Verona, on the western side, with the new high-speed railways and the new Verona Marfa interconnection.
The agreement of works 6 “Paradiso” concerns the line and related works between km 135+116.62 and km 140+090.52, with the exception of the section between km 138+119.62 and km 138+481.62, of Brescia-Verona functional lot – Construction Lot 1, as part of the Turin-Venice high-speed/high-capacity line, Milan-Verona section. On Milan-Verona high-speed/high-capacity railway line, the works included in the agreement are between km 135+116.62 and 140+090.52 (even track), except for the section from km 138+119.62 to km 138+481.62.
This includes high-speed/high-capacity line works and interlocking works belonging to the following main categories:
- Noise protection foundations;
- Railway and road embankments and ditches;
- Artificial tunnels;
- Railroad viaducts
- Underpasses;
- Saddles for bicycles
- Road works interested in high capacity/high speed line;
- Water collection and discharge works;
- Minor works;
- Monitoring.
The works covered by the agreement are located in the communes of Peschiera del Garda, Castelnuovo del Garda and Sona, all in the province of Verona.
